Seth Speaks: Probabilities...

"You create reality through your feelings, thoughts, and mental actions. Some of these are physically materialized, others are actualized in probable systems. You are presented with an endless series of choices, it seems, at any point, some more or less favorable than others.

You must understand that each mental act is a reality for which you are responsible. That is what you are in this particular system of reality for. As long as you believe in a devil, for example, you will create one that is real enough for you, and for the others who continue to create him.

Because of the energy he is given by others, he will have a certain consciousness of his own, but such a mock devil has no power or reality to those who do not believe in his existence, and who do not give him energy through their belief.

He is, in other words, a superlative hallucination.

As mentioned earlier, those who believe in a hell and assign themselves to it through their belief can indeed experience one, but certainly in nothing like eternal terms.

No soul is forever.

Milk the Pleasure

Milk every moment for all the pleasure you can get from it.

Say:

"It is my dominant intent to look for
things that feel good, today.
...
No matter where I'm going, no matter what I'm doing,
no matter who I'm doing it with,
...
it is my dominant intent to look for what I'm wanting to see,
to look for things that feel good."

...

And, the more you develop the habit of that kind of vibration,
the more the Universe understands that that's who you are!

And so, the more you have access only to those kinds of things!

Close Your Eyes

CLOSE YOUR EYES

Just because a man lacks the use of his eyes
doesn't mean he lacks vision.

Stevie Wonder

Too often we let the outer conditions of our lives determine how we feel and thus what we attract. That's fine if what we are looking at is something we like. But if what we see around us is something we do not like, then by observing it and focusing on it, we keep attracting more of it into our lives.

This game is very simple; it's designed to help you to stop focusing on what you don't want, and imagine what you do want. To play, just close your eyes and imagine that you are in the exact surroundings you would be in if your desire had already manifested itself.

For example, if you are currently living in a tiny apartment but you would like to be living in a brand new home, close your eyes and imagine that you are currently sitting in that home. With your eyes closed, in your mind's eye, where in the room are you? How tall are the ceilings. What is the floor made of? What color are the walls? If you want to win an Academy Award, imagine that you are at the award ceremony. Who is sitting in front of you? Who is sitting behind and beside you? Who is standing at the podium? How high are the ceilings? What colors are the curtains and walls? Now as you imagine this vividly, see if you can evoke the emotions from currently being in these surroundings. Describe how it makes you feel?

The Wisdom of Creative Thinking

The Universe does not know whether the vibration that you're offering is because of something you're observing or something you're remembering or something that you are imagining.

It just receives the vibration and answers it with things that match it.

The Field’s Schedule

Naturally, students of conscious creating are interested in what’s traditionally been called “manifestation,” which refers to the occurrence of factual events that fulfill whatever condition was set into motion by some deliberate shift in consciousness. I say this is natural because, even though Field training puts us on notice that setting out to change factual conditions through any consciousness method immediately implicates us in contradiction and so, creates some form of suffering, it also recognizes that, just as we don’t live “by bread alone,” so we don’t live only inwardly. This is why Field theory discusses the Law of Correspondence, through which the conditions of our reality, inner and outer, must come into agreement with whatever identity we’ve claimed in alignment.

“Alignment” refers to a state of friendly agreement between desire and belief, contrariness or contradiction being the unfriendly relation between them. So, Field training tells us importantly, and in a way that sets it apart from the many New Age approaches based on visualizing, using affirmations, etc., that “the aim of practice is alignment, not manifestation”—even while it acknowledges that the Law of Correspondence operates, and that factual conditions must in their own time and manner express whatever identity we have claimed with resolve.

This presents the student of Field training with a practical issue, viz., what to do between the time he or she deliberately intends and the time that the intention manifests—not inwardly (for this is immediate, provided that the student is willing to receive within what he or she wants), but outwardly. If the student begins to “watch the pot,” contradiction returns, for while the student is looking for the desired thing to manifest, he or she likely is believing that it has not manifested yet, and this belief runs contrary to both the desire and its fulfillment.

Pretending not to watch the pot obviously won’t work. There is no pretending in practice. The diligent student may be able to muster a certain amount of detachment from the factual expression that has been set into motion by deliberate intending, but the longer the fact takes to come into expression, the more challenging this has become. What, then, can he or she do?

It helps to consider that, having completed the specific steps of deliberate intending provided in Week Two of the Course, the student has essentially agreed to accept the Field’s schedule. To be on the schedule of the Field means that all matters concerning further fulfillment (beyond the inner experience) have been delegated. At that point, it becomes a matter of sincerity, or what Field training calls “wholeheartedness.” Some students think they’ve accepted this idea of being on the Field’s schedule, but after a little while, they notice that they’ve “taken back” the matter of timing.

Such a report amounts to a confession that they never delegated the matter to the Field to begin with, for what we give away is no longer ours to take back. So, they were holding out all along, which keeps the timing along with other features of further fulfillment within the circle of Particle will, and Particle will, as Field training tells us, is almost entirely limited. In contrast with the Field’s unlimited efficiency, it is virtually powerless, which is why we often work so hard to “make something happen.”

Being on the Field’s schedule means that we have let the matter of further fulfillment go. We still have our desire, but it no longer has us. Our desire can no longer take us hostage, because we have placed all responsibility for its fulfillment into hands that cannot fail. Does this mean that we have no responsibility in the matter? Not at all. Our job is to remain aligned and released, period. Everything else is left to the Field.

The effect is an immediate sense of relief, liberation, poise, and optimism. Longer term, we see nonlocal efficiency rushing to do for us what all our labors had proved unable to accomplish. Practicing this alignment and release, the student of Field training finds that every question is answered, every need is met, every desire is fulfilled—often in a surprising way.

Pole Position

"If you take upon yourselves tragedies that do not exist in your reality, in your moment; then you weaken your position and you weaken the position of those you think you are helping.

You look about you and you see only hopelessness and helplessness.

You organize your reality according to the tragedies of the newspapers!

The tragedies of the newspapers are symbols.

Those symbols represent "real" tragedies, but those tragedies do not exist in your moment unless you are participating in them.

Those who are involved in such tragedies feel a sense of hopeless and a loss of power in the present - and you do not help them by taking on the guise of hopelessness!"

The Viewpoint of a Connector

A person who lives in a state of unity with the Source of all life doesn't look any different from ordinary folks.

But when you notice that they go through life as the lucky ones who seem to get all the breaks,
and when you begin to talk to them,
you realize how distinctive they are compared to people living at ordinary levels of awareness.

These people,
whom I call connectors to signify their harmonious connection with the field of intention,
are individuals who have made themselves available for success.
It's impossible to get them to be pessimistic about achieving what they desire in their lives.

They speak from an inner conviction that communicates their profound and simple knowing that the universal Source supplies everything.

To connectors,
everything that shows up in their life is there because the power of intention intended it there.
So they're always in a state of gratitude.
They feel thankful for everything,
even things that might seem to be obstacles.
They have the ability and desire to see a temporary illness as a blessing,
and they know in their heart that somewhere an opportunity exists in the setback, and that is what they look for in everything that shows up in their life.

Through their thanks,
they honor all possibilities,
rather than asking their Source for something,
because that seems to give power to what's missing.
They commune with the Source in a state of reverent gratitude for all that's present in their lives,
knowing that this empowers their intention to manifest precisely what they need.

Connectors describe themselves as living in a state of appreciation and bewilderment.
You're unlikely to hear them complain about anything.
They aren't fault-finders...
